Napa Valley Adventures: My Personal Favorites

Napa Valley is overflowing with amazing things to do, and if it’s your first visit, I totally get it—it can feel overwhelming trying to plan everything. But let me tell you, Napa is so stunning you could just wander through the vineyards or sit and stare at the rolling hills all day and still feel like you’ve had the best time. But why stop there? Let me share a few of my favorite ways to make your Napa experience truly unforgettable.

Take a Hot Air Balloon Ride—You’ll Thank Me Later

Okay, hear me out—waking up at 5 a.m. doesn’t sound fun at first, but trust me, it’s so worth it for a hot air balloon ride over Napa Valley. The views are absolutely magical, like something out of a dream. You’ll see vineyards stretching out for miles, bathed in soft morning light. Plus, most companies include breakfast, so you can start your day with some good food and even better vibes.

Treat Yourself to a Calistoga Mud Bath

If you’ve never done a mud bath before, this is your chance. Calistoga’s mud baths are legendary, made from volcanic ash, spring water, and Canadian peat. Yes, it smells a little earthy, but oh my goodness—your skin will feel amazing afterward. The whole experience is so relaxing, especially since it usually comes with extras like a mineral bath, steam room, and massage. If you need a reason to pamper yourself, this is it.

Explore Napa on Two Wheels

Looking for something active? Grab a bike and hit the Napa Valley Vine Trails. These paths are super flat, which means you can take a leisurely ride and soak in all the gorgeous scenery around you. Don’t have a bike? No problem! Rentals are everywhere—standalone shops, resorts, even smaller lodges often have delivery options. It’s such a fun and different way to see Napa, and I promise you’ll love it.

Get Out on the Water at Lake Berryessa

For my fellow water lovers, Lake Berryessa is a summer dream. You can waterski, kayak, jet ski, or just chill on a boat. And if you’re feeling adventurous, there are campsites, RV spots, and even cabins you can rent. It’s such a great spot for families or a group of friends to just relax and enjoy the outdoors.

So Much More Than Wineries

I know, I know—Napa is all about the wine. But even if wine-tasting is your main plan, you owe it to yourself to explore the food, nature, and unique experiences this area has to offer. Trust me, you won’t regret it.

Now, your turn—what sounds like the most fun to you? I’d love to hear what you’re adding to your Napa bucket list! Let’s chat about it—you know I love a good travel plan.
